Redback Technologies has just launched its latest generation of hybrid inverters - both single and three phase! ZEN Energy Systems, as Redback's New Zealand partner, is incredibly happy to announce that these latest release systems are now available in New Zealand - offering further enhanced capabilities from this market leading all-in-one hybrid solar and energy storage system.
What's new in the Redback product range?
Redback manufactures smart hybrid solar energy systems to suit your home or small business. They combine the smart hybrid inverter, battery enclosure, batteries and integrated wiring to create a sleek all-in-one system. The new product range includes the Smart Hybrid System and the Smart 3 Phase Hybrid System.
The Smart Hybrid System combines a 5 kW hybrid solar inverter and modular battery storage up to 14.2 kWh. The modern and sleek design is ideal for single-phase homes that have two to four bedrooms, a regular size air-conditioning system and regular home appliances. For example a fridge, freezer, washing machine, dryer, TV, computer etc.
The Smart 3 Phase Hybrid System combines a 10 kW hybrid solar inverter and modular battery storage of up to 28.4 kWh. The robust design is ideal for three-phase homes that are generally larger, with around five to six bedrooms, large air-conditioning systems, electric car chargers, spas and pool heaters. It is also very suitable to light commercial installations.
Both systems manage your energy usage needs through the intuitive and advanced software, which continually updates and evolves, ensuring your system is kept up to date with the latest technology.
What else is on offer?
All-In-one system design
The Redback Smart Hybrid System includes a Hybrid Inverter, the pre-wired Balance of System and up to two Battery Enclosures (3-Phase only). The highly integrated solar and battery storage solution will fit seamlessly into your garage or outside your home, as there is no need for extra cabling or cabinets.
Expandable battery storage
The Battery Enclosure houses various combinations of Pylontech lithium-ion batteries (4.8 - 14.2 kWh for 1-Phase, 9.6– 28.4 kWh for 3-Phase), allowing flexible options to best fit your needs.
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)
Never be left in the dark again, with the Redback back-up power feature allowing near-instantaneous backup power (10 milliseconds), which targets key appliances when the unexpected occurs.*
* When DC-coupled, backup circuit is connected and solar or battery energy is available. Appliances selected and agreed at or prior to the time of install.
Superior battery charge and discharge rates
Redback Smart Hybrid Systems feature high power battery charge and discharge rates, with 4.6 kW continuous and 6.9 kW surge capacities for the single phase model, and up to 10 kW continuous and 16.5 kW surge capacities for the three phase model.
Evolving technology
Combining both software and hardware, each Redback Smart Hybrid System can be updated remotely with new advancements as they become available, intelligently evolving to ensure you’re always up to date with the latest solar tech.
Blackstart capability
If the energy in your solar batteries is exhausted during a prolonged grid outage, the Redback Smart Hybrid System will re-start itself with the sun’s energy captured by your solar panels. Once the power needs within your home are met, your solar batteries will recharge so you can keep the lights on when the sun goes down again. This is called Blackstart!
