Earlier this year, LONGi launched their new 370W solar panel range, and we are very happy to tell you that we now have this latest technology available in New Zealand! Providing higher power, higher efficiency half-cut PERC solar technology at a better price point.
What does the LONGi 370W panel deliver?
One of the key benefits of introducing the LONGi 370W panel (Hi-MO4 series) is that it has greater generation capacity than most of the current solar panels in the NZ market, which are still mainly within the 300W to 330W range.
As a consumer, you can enjoy the benefit of having a larger system installed with less roof space, or save cost by installing fewer panels to get the same system size. Through taking up less space on rooftops, and requiring less labour and parts for the install, this new release offers both installers and consumers more bang for their solar buck.
By way of example, a 5kW system using LONGi Hi-MO4 technology requires 14 of the 370W panels, which is 2 panels less than a system using 320W panels.
It is more than generating more power
LONGi's 370W Hi-MO4 series comes with an excellent 20.3% conversion efficiency – a high efficiency product that is pitched at the residential and small commercial segment as “maximum power on limited roof space.”
The panels use half-cell technology, which works to reduce power loss from resistance, lower the operating temperature of the panels, reduce hot spot temperature by 10~20°C and improve the panels’ overall performance in partial shade. And with the advances in technology, LONGi provides a 25 year performance warranty, and a 12 year materials and workmanship warranty, giving greater confidence to the end user.
